Job Description

Stoughton Health has an excellent opportunity for an Senior Human Resources Generalist to join our team on a Full-Time basis.

The Senior Human Resources Generalist is responsible for administering and supporting a broad range of human resources functions, including employee relations, performance management, policy interpretation, compliance, training and development, and HR operations. This role serves as a trusted advisor to employees and leaders, providing guidance on HR policies, employment practices, and organizational initiatives while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.

The Senior HR Generalist partners with management to implement HR programs that support business objectives, employee engagement, workforce planning, and organizational effectiveness.

This position exercises independent judgment, handles complex employee matters, analyzes HR metrics and trends, leads departmental projects, and contributes to strategic HR initiatives. The role may also mentor junior HR team members and serve as a subject matter expert in key human resources disciplines.

 Key Objectives:

  • Promote a positive, productive, and legally compliant work environment.
  • Partner with leaders to address employee relations and performance management matters.
  • Administer HR policies.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulatory requirements.
  • Analyze HR data and recommend process improvements and strategic solutions.
  • Facilitate employee development, engagement, and succession planning initiatives.
  • Serve as a resource for employees and management on HR-related issues.
  • Leverages technologies offered through HRIS UKG platform


Position Requirements:

  • Required:  Bachelor’s degree in Business/Human Resources Management
  • Preferred: Advanced education in a related field with several years of commensurate related human resources experience and solid knowledge of human resources laws and regulations. In addition, ideal candidates possess UKG Partner & Consultant Certifications, Customer & Product Badges, and Learning & Course Certificates.
  • Professional Experience: 8+ years in progressive Human Resources roles

    Strong background in HR leadership and business partnership. Advanced skills in managing and improving HRIS platforms. Expert knowledge of current labor and employment laws. Proven ability to lead large technical projects and software rollouts. Prefer prior progressive Human Resources experience in a health care setting.

  • Technology Skills:

    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced Excel reporting and analysis.
    • Experience utilizing HRIS platforms, preferably UKG, Workday, or similar systems.
    • Ability to learn new technologies and leverage software tools to improve efficiency and employee experience.

Work Shift:

  • Full-Time, 1.0 FTE
  • 40 hours per week
  • Scheduled Days: Monday – Friday
  • Hours: Flexible Start Time between 7:00 am and 9:00 am
