Black Bear Talent is seeking a dynamic Senior Human Resources Manager to lead strategic and operational HR initiatives across the U.S. workforce. This leadership role partners with executive teams to drive talent acquisition, employee relations, compliance, performance management, compensation, benefits, and organizational development. We're looking for a strategic HR leader who thrives in a fast paced environment, builds strong partnerships, and helps create a culture where both employees and the business succeed.

This is a direct hire role with our client. Hours are Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the leadership team to formulate, develop, implement, and evaluate an HR and talent management strategy to achieve U.S. manufacturing organizational goals.
  • Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and innovative technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law and apply this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to senior leadership.
  • Develop and implement policies, processes, training, and initiatives, in response to trends, organizational objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Mitigate organizational risk through proactive training, education, and consistent systems/processes for managing conflict and ensuring employee complaints are resolved in a professional and timely manner.
  • Provide counsel to operational leadership, while supporting employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Balance the role of employee advocate with the needs of the business.
  • Coach and mentor members of the HR team to promote professional growth, engagement, and collaboration.
  • Ensure employee complaints are promptly investigated, escalated, and resolved.
  • Analyze HR data and metrics to inform decision-making and measure impact on business objectives.
  • Influence and build strong relationships with business leaders and partners across the organization.
  • Provide leadership and direction for HR operations across multiple U.S. facilities.
  • Oversee and support HR and safety/compliance teams to ensure alignment with corporate policies and expectations.
  • Manage employee relations, performance management, talent development, and compliance initiatives.
  • Support talent acquisition and retention strategies to strengthen and diversify the workforce.
  • Partners with leadership teams to oversee and execute corporate initiatives including benefits administration, performance evaluations, and change management.
  • Prepare and review HR reports, KPIs, and compliance documentation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional departments to delivery consistent and effective HR services.
  • Maintain a professional presence and travel to other locations as needed to provide or engage in support and training.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 10 years of Human Resources experience with progressively increasing responsibilities and 5 years of experience in management.
  • At least 5 years of experience working with operational teams within a manufacturing, supply chain, and/or distribution environment.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred.
  • Ability to listen and probe to understand underlying needs and/or root cause of an issue.
  • Ability to provide thoughtful and strategic guidance.
  • Ability to identify, influence, and collaborate with key stakeholders to achieve desired organizational outcomes.
  • Ability to work independently with sound judgment, sensitivity, and a high degree of discretion.
  • Solid knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
  • Experience in identifying root causes of issues and experience addressing and solving problems.
  • Strong background in creating and executing HR strategy, talent planning, organizational design, workforce planning, training, and talent acquisition.
  • Superior interpersonal skills, including demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships with employees at all levels of the organization (operations/production and corporate environments).
  • Experience designing and leading major change or transformation projects.
  • Excellent written, oral, and presentation skills.
  • Experience managing a multi-site environment.
  • Experience with H2B and L1 VISA programs.
  • Exposure to a global organization is a plus.
  • Ability to travel up to 30% required

Education/Certification Requirements:

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field
  • Strong business acumen and leadership abilities.
  • SHRM-SCP or SPHR certification preferred.
