Description
Precision Heating & Air Conditioning is a 45-year-old commercial and industrial HVAC company based in Skokie, IL, specializing in nursing homes and healthcare facilities across Chicagoland. We run major commercial projects, including 125-ton chiller replacements, and we pay no sales commissions because we have never needed to sell anything but expert work. We are hiring a Senior Commercial HVAC Installer who can run jobs, mentor mid-level techs, and take the lead on complex service calls. If you live further out, you can qualify for a take-home truck and home dispatch.
Key Responsibilities
• Handle complex troubleshooting and difficult service calls independently
• Lead installations and major repairs, including chiller and commercial boiler projects
• Serve as a technical resource for other technicians and support them in the field
• Assist with job planning and material requirements
• Mentor less experienced technicians and uphold quality standards
• Communicate effectively with customers and internal team, including occupied healthcare settings
• Respond to major after-hours emergencies when senior leadership is needed on site
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
• 7+ years of HVAC experience, majority commercial/industrial
• Able to run most calls start to finish without support
• Chiller experience strongly preferred; boiler and rooftop expertise expected
• Experience leading installs or supervising other techs
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record
• Must pass a pre-employment background and reference check
