West Sound Workforce is assisting a locally owned HVAC contractor in Kitsap County with the recruitment of a Senior HVAC Service Technician. With more than 30 years of serving homeowners and businesses throughout the region, this well-established company has built its reputation on dependable service, quality workmanship, and lasting customer relationships. As the business continues to grow, they're looking for an experienced technician who takes pride in delivering exceptional service and helping develop the next generation of HVAC professionals.

Reporting to the Service Manager, the Senior HVAC Service Technician provides expert diagnostics, repair, and preventative maintenance for residential HVAC systems, boilers, and related equipment while serving as a technical resource and mentor to fellow technicians. This role combines hands-on field work with leadership, supporting high-quality workmanship, exceptional customer service, and the continued growth of the service team.

Shift information:
  • Monday – Friday 7am – 4:30 pm
  • On-call rotation and overtime as needed
What you will do:
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain residential HVAC systems, boilers, ductless mini-splits, indoor air quality equipment, and related controls
  • Perform preventative maintenance, system commissioning, and operational testing to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable performance
  • Educate customers on system operation, maintenance recommendations, repair options, and replacement opportunities while delivering exceptional customer service
  • Complete accurate digital service documentation, including diagnostics, repairs performed, parts used, and recommended follow-up work
  • Serve as a technical resource and mentor to junior technicians by sharing knowledge, supporting field training, and promoting quality workmanship and safety standards
What we are looking for:
  • Minimum 7 years of residential HVAC service experience, including advanced diagnostics, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of HVAC systems
  • EPA Universal Certification and a valid Washington State driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Demonstrated expertise with heat pumps, residential boilers and hydronic systems, ductless mini-splits, variable-speed equipment, indoor air quality (IAQ) products, Wi-Fi thermostats, and electrical troubleshooting
  • Strong customer service and communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues, recommend repair options, and build lasting customer relationships
