Location: Bakersfield, CA, United States Date Posted: Jan 5, 2026GEI's California Water resources practice is growing, and we are seeking a Senior Hydraulic Structures Engineer. Candidate would also provide support to GEI's companywide Structural/Geo-Structural practice. This individual will lead inspection, evaluation, design, and construction observation of hydraulic structures, including dams, spillways, outlet works, gates, water conveyance structures, pump stations. Strong design experience with steel, concrete and theoretical background with experience in applying analyses to practical solutions, including linear and non-linear finite element modeling and analyses under static and dynamic loading is desired. Working knowledge of geotechnical engineering to assist in the design of soil/structure interaction elements is preferred.
