Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled IBM Business Automation Workflow (IBM BAW) Developer with 7+ years of IT experience to join a mission-critical application support team for US Bank. This position requires a strong balance of production support (70%) and application development (30%). The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in IBM BAW/BPM development, troubleshooting complex production issues, and delivering workflow enhancements in an enterprise banking environment.
The candidate should be proactive, customer-focused, and capable of working in a fast-paced production environment while ensuring high application availability and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide L2/L3 production support for IBM BAW applications, ensuring timely resolution of production incidents and service requests.
  • Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues while adhering to SLA commitments.
  • Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for recurring production issues and implement permanent fixes.
  • Monitor application health, identify performance bottlenecks, and recommend optimization strategies.
  • Develop and enhance IBM BAW workflows, business processes, coaches, services, and integrations.
  • Participate in application deployments, release management, and post-production validations.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, QA teams, infrastructure teams, and cross-functional development teams.
  • Support environment management, code migrations, and production releases.
  • Prepare technical documentation, knowledge articles, and operational support documents.
  • Participate in on-call production support rotation when required.
Required Skills
  • 7+ years of overall IT experience.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with IBM Business Automation Workflow (IBM BAW) or IBM BPM.
  • Strong experience providing production support for enterprise applications.
  • Hands-on expertise in:
    • IBM BAW Process Designer
    • Process Center & Process Server
    • Human Services
    • Coaches & Coach Views
    • Business Objects
    • Integration Services
    • BPM Process Applications
  • Experience troubleshooting workflow failures, integration issues, and production defects.
  • Strong SQL skills with Oracle, DB2, or SQL Server.
  • Experience with REST/SOAP Web Services.
  • Knowledge of WebSphere Application Server (WAS).
  • Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments.
  • Experience using ServiceNow or similar ITSM tools.
  • Understanding of ITIL processes and production support methodologies.
  • Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Banking or Financial Services domain experience (preferred).
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Experience with Git, Jenkins, or similar version control and deployment tools.
  • IBM BAW/IBM BPM Certification is an added advantage.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
