HIGH-LEVEL OVERVIEW
The Senior Import Analyst is a
subject matter expert who is responsible for managing and processing customs
entries submissions efficiently, ensuring imports are compliant with CBP and
PGA rules and regulations.
This is a hybrid position based near Champlain,
NY.
EXPECTATIONS
- Review and input customs data while maintaining high
accuracy standards
- Prioritize and process high-urgency imports such as
PAPS files to prevent shipment delays
- Monitor and resolve CBP and PGA holds, providing
additional information and coordinating exams
- Coordinate with carriers, terminals/CFS, and
government officers to schedule exams and submit ACE DIS documentation and
Affirmations of Compliance
- Track ACE/ABI statuses, respond to FDA Notices of
Action and CF-28/CF-29 to expedite release
- Provide clear updates to customers and internal
teams to expedite release of goods
- Conduct compliance checks against CBP, FDA, and PGA
standards
- Resourceful problem solver who works independently
and escalates appropriately
- Communicate complex trade
requirements clearly to customers to timely resolve issues
ESSENTIALS
- Licensed US
Customs Broker (LCB) required
- High school diploma required, bachelor’s degree
preferred
- 5+ years of import brokerage experience
- Experience with Pre arrival processing system (PAPS),
Ocean, Air, and ISF filings
- Expertise in HTS classification using GRIs,
section/chapter notes, and valuation
- Knowledge of CBP, FDA, and PGA rules and regulations
- Proficiency with ACE, ABI, and customs brokerage
software
- Experience responding to CF-28 and CF-29 notices
- Strong data analytics
and technical acumen
