Menasha Corporation, a leader in the packaging industry, is searching for a Senior Indirect Tax Analyst in our Neenah, WI location.
Essential to this Position
We are seeking an individual to join our indirect tax team that has a desire to participate in all aspects of indirect tax. This role is responsible for assisting in compliance, refund claims, tax audits, research and various other projects as requested.
Areas Responsibilities
- Serve as knowledgeable resource for internal sales and use tax inquires and provide guidance based on current state and local regulations
- Receive and manage tax notices from state and local authorities.
- Oversee the issuance of tax exemption and resale certificates to vendors
- Partner with billing and customer service teams on new customer setup and work with customers directly on invoice and sales order issues
- Assist Manager with sales/use tax audits including gathering data and communicating with tax authorities
- Research various technical topics and participate in special projects as necessary
- Assist in various indirect tax projects
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance with 3+ years of indirect tax experience
- Experience with SAP and/or Vertex beneficial
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word and PowerPoint)
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to complete work accurately and in a timely manner
- Strong analytical mind and problem-solving skills
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently, handling multiple tasks simultaneously and meet tight deadlines
- Excellent communication skills and business professionalism
