Working with a high degree of autonomy, you will translate complex technical requirements into elegant design solutions that prioritize safety while achieving critical functionality and user experience. Key job responsibilities - Lead design projects from concept through implementation, ensuring high design quality that meets expectations - Design intuitive interfaces and experiences for industrial technology applications - Create user flows and interaction patterns that simplify complex operations - Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Service, and Installation to deliver innovative design solutions - Contribute to org-wide Design Standards and communications - Partner with external vendors and contractors to execute design deliverables - Support POC (proof of concept) efforts through hands-on design work and partner engagement Create detailed design documentation, specifications, and presentations for stakeholder review Basic Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Civil Engineering or other related discipline - Knowledge of SolidWorks or similar CAD experience and understanding of best practices for part design, and advanced assemblies - 7+ years of Industrial Design experience - Experience leading high quality design projects - Effective skills in communication, planning, and product development - Ability to plan design activities while applying innovative design methods to conceptualization, prototyping, and implementation, supported by a well-developed knowledge of technology Preferred Qualifications - Successful experience in all phases of software-enabled hardware development - Experience with industrial systems, workstations, and components - Experience working in automated or robotics environments - Familiarity with Rhino, Blender, Maya, Unreal Engine, or similar tools. - Familiarity with VR/AR for evaluating scale, proportion, and interactions. - Experience using generative AI for concept exploration. - Experience in manufacturing processes, material selection, construction, and assembly. - Portfolio demonstrating: Innovative design solutions for complex technical products, Sophisticated UX form development tied to motion or behavioral intent, Systems-level thinking in product design, Inclusive and focused design approaches, Use of User Research and measurement tools Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
