A day in this role

When you clock in, you’re the go-to expert who keeps precision equipment humming. You’ll open the day by reviewing the preventive maintenance queue, then move into hands-on work—installing, relocating, and repairing CNC and manual machines. You’ll trace wiring using schematics, diagnose pneumatics and hydraulics with confidence, and apply Lock Out/Tag Out procedures before you turn a single wrench. What you’ll take on

  • Champion and follow all safety procedures to protect people, equipment, and property.
  • Model a safety-first mindset—identify risks, report hazards, and help maintain a clean, organized workspace.
  • Execute preventive maintenance to sustain uptime and reliability.
  • Read and work from electrical wiring diagrams, schematics, and equipment layouts.
  • Lead the installation, removal, and relocation of production equipment.
  • Interpret hydraulic/pneumatic drawings, troubleshoot faults, and determine corrective actions.
  • Apply Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO) before servicing machines.
  • Support additional maintenance tasks and other assigned duties as needed.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years in a manufacturing setting working with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • 3+ years performing maintenance on CNC and manual machinery; High School Diploma, Trade school certification or GED equivalent preferred.
  • 2+ years troubleshooting/repairing hydraulic and pneumatic circuits, plus heating, cooling, and general building systems.
  • 2+ years reading mechanical prints, blueprints, electrical schematics, and wiring diagrams.
  • 2+ years using micrometers, gages, meters, calipers, and related precision tools.

Core competencies

  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and technical depth across industrial processes.
  • Self-directed with strong teamwork skills.
  • Clear written and verbal communication; fluent in English.
  • Analytical thinker and effective problem solver in fast-paced, technical environments.

Preference

  • Comfort working at heights (e.g., scissor lift).
