The Senior Informaticist works in the Process Insights team to analyze and provide quantitative insights from our AI Process Insights tools. They may coordinate with other analytics, IT and business areas across the organization to ensure work is completed with insights from knowledge SMEs. The Senior Informaticist work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
Program Summary
The Simplification Center of Excellence (CoE) is building a new enterprise capability that helps teams create simpler, more effective, and more human‑centered solutions for associates, members, patients, and providers. The CoE develops shared tools, methods, and guidance that support teams from discovery through delivery-bringing together process insight, research, ideation, rapid prototyping, and impact assessment to improve both speed and quality of outcomes. By establishing these capabilities, the team enables more informed decisions, stronger solution design, and greater confidence in what gets built and delivered.
Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Informaticist to serve as a data and analytics expert within our process intelligence/mining program, working alongside a Program Manager. In this role you will contribute deep analytical expertise, translating complex process and operational data into clear, actionable insights that drive decision-making, prioritization, and continuous improvement.
You will leverage AI process mining tools such as Skan AI, and enterprise data sources to interpret how work is performed, identify meaningful patterns, and help define the metrics that matter most. Using tools such as Power BI and advanced visualization techniques, you will design, build, and continuously refine dashboards and infographics that make insights intuitive, compelling, and immediately usable by leaders and delivery teams. Your ability to combine quantitative analysis with strong visual storytelling will ensure data is not only accurate, but actionable.

Core Skills & Attributes
Strong ability to interpret complex process and operational data, identify patterns and trends, and translate findings into meaningful insights aligned to engagement goals.
Proven experience designing and modifying dashboards in Power BI, with an emphasis on clarity, usability, and visual storytelling rather than static reporting.
High level of creativity in experimenting with infographics and alternative visual formats to make data intuitive, engaging, and action‑oriented.
Experience working with stakeholders to define, refine, and monitor key metrics and KPIs that support operational understanding and performance tracking.
Comfortable working closely with Program Managers and operational partners within a pod model, adapting analyses and outputs based on evolving questions and feedback.
Ability to communicate insights clearly through concise narratives and visuals, tailoring messages to operational audiences with varying levels of data fluency.
Careful, methodical approach to data validation, consistency, and accuracy, balanced with the ability to move quickly in an engagement‑based environment.
Thrives in a dynamic engagement setting, quickly learning new domains, adjusting analytical approaches, and iterating on outputs as needs evolve.
Experience
Work at Home Requirements: To ensure Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees' ability to work effectively, the self-provided internet service of Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees must meet the following criteria: At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is required; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested. In certain roles, the minimum recommended internet speed required by Humana may not be sufficient for business needs. Humana reserves the right to require associates to upgrade their internet service if necessary. Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information.
Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana''s offices for training or meetings may be required.

Pay Range
The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
$97,900 - $133,500 per year
This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
