The POWER of a CAREER!

At Northpointe Bank, we believe your career should empower you — to grow, contribute, and find purpose. We’re hiring a Senior Information Security Analyst to serve as the highest-level technical analyst within our Information Security team.

This role is ideal for a highly skilled security professional who thrives on advanced threat detection, complex incident response, and continuous improvement of security tools and controls within a regulated banking environment. You’ll act as a technical escalation point, mentor to junior analysts, and key contributor to strategic security initiatives.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead advanced threat detection, investigation, and incident response across on-prem and cloud environments
  • Correlate SIEM, EDR, identity, and telemetry data to produce high-confidence findings and actionable outcomes
  • Execute structured incident response including containment, eradication, recovery, and lessons learned
  • Lead vulnerability management efforts, prioritizing remediation based on risk and exploitability
  • Own operational health and effectiveness of security tools and controls (SIEM, EDR, IAM, DLP, email/web filtering, etc.)
  • Perform threat hunting and continuously improve detection coverage and control effectiveness
  • Conduct technical assessments and applied security research to support secure architecture and tool selection
  • Partner with IT, Compliance, and Risk teams to align controls with regulatory expectations
  • Support audit readiness through documentation, control validation, and governance adherence
  • Communicate complex security findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Mentor junior analysts and serve as a technical escalation resource

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 6+ years of experience in information security or IT security operations
  • Demonstrated expertise in threat detection, incident response, and security tool optimization
  • Strong knowledge of SIEM, EDR, endpoint security, identity telemetry, and vulnerability management
  • Experience operating in a regulated or banking environment preferred
  • Senior-level certifications such as CISSP, GCIH, CySA+ or similar preferred
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional decisions
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently with high accountability and discretion
  • Flexibility to support after-hours incident response or compliance needs as required
