MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Senior Information Systems Security Engineer to join our team in Huntsville, AL. This is an onsite position.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Lead and supervise a team of security professionals managing the end-to-end implementation of the RMF lifecycle for FBI IT systems.

  • Coordinate RMF preparation step activities and guide system categorization efforts based on mission impact and regulatory requirements.

  • Advise on the selection, tailoring, and documentation of security controls aligned with Bureau risk appetite and compliance standards.

  • Direct the deployment of technical, operational, and management controls across system lifecycles, ensuring high-quality deliverables.

  • Oversee comprehensive security control assessments and prepare critical risk management documentation for system authorization and executive decisions.

  • Manage ongoing monitoring, continuous assessment activities, and metric collection to adapt security strategies and maintain sustained compliance.

  • Provide subject-matter expertise on risk analysis, incident response, remediation, and audits, while communicating status and risks to stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience (6 additional years of experience in lieu of degree).

  • 8 + years of experience in secure design, analysis, and testing of information security systems and products.

  • 8 + years of experience applying methods, standards and approaches for ensuring the baseline security safeguards are appropriately implemented and documented.

  • 8 + years of experience creating and updating security test plans for detecting and mitigating risk to information systems.

  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) certification required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Cloud Certification

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related technical discipline.

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must have a current/active TS/SCI.

Physical Requirements:

  • The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.

  • Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
