We are seeking a Senior Instructional Designer to support our Manufacturing Operations training program. As we prepare for scale, you will be instrumental in building a mature training system that ensures safety, quality, and compliance across our Manufacturing teams.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 5 to 7 years of experience in instructional design, specifically within a technical or industrial environment.
- Proven mastery of both virtual and live training design and development, with a deep understanding of adult learning theory and interactive engagement strategies.
- Expert-level skills in Articulate 360 (Rise/Storyline) and familiarity with managing enterprise-grade LMS platforms (Docebo).
- Exceptional ability to synthesize complex technical documentation into clear, engaging, and action-oriented training content.
- Strong collaborative skills to work across functions with SMEs, managers, and technical writers in a fast-paced, in-person factory environment.
- Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Proficiency with Google suite and AI tools.
- Direct experience in autonomous vehicles, high-tech manufacturing, highly regulated industries (e.g., utilities, aviation, medical device, pharmaceuticals), or automotive production.
- Professional certificate or Master’s degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or a related technical field.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Design and develop a structured curriculum for manufacturing and logistics associates, including virtual training, instructor-led training (ILT), and on-the-job training (OJT) and certification frameworks.
- Utilize Articulate 360/Rise to create high-quality virtual training modules that adhere to instructional design best practices.
- Partner with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and Technical Writers to translate complex work instructions and technical specifications into digestible, interactive training materials.
- Create robust, criteria-based assessments and practical qualification checklists to verify learner competency and ensure knowledge retention.
- Define and standardize OJT processes and criteria, ensuring a seamless transition from virtual learning to supervised practical application.
- Support the management and optimization of the Learning Management System (LMS) Docebo.
