Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Intellectual Property (IP) Litigation Paralegal to provide high-level, case-responsible support on multiple large-scale, complex litigation matters. This role is responsible for managing all aspects of litigation from case inception through trial, including docket and calendar management, deposition coordination, large-scale document productions, privilege logs, court filings, and hearing and trial preparation.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience supporting complex IP litigation matters, with extensive knowledge of e-discovery, litigation support technology, trial preparation, and courtroom support. This position requires exceptional organizational, analytical, and communication skills, along with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

This is a full-time, in-person position with a standard schedule of Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (37.5-hour workweek). Availability for overtime (both remote and on-site) and domestic travel, including overnight travel, is required.
Responsibilities
  • Manage litigation dockets and case calendars from inception through resolution, including calculating and tracking court deadlines.
  • Organize, maintain, and update electronic case files in accordance with established protocols.
  • Prepare, coordinate, file, and serve legal documents in federal and state courts.
  • Draft routine legal filings, including notices, appearances, and procedural documents.
  • Review legal and factual citations for accuracy and proper formatting using Bluebook and legal research platforms.
  • Coordinate with attorneys, local counsel, clients, court personnel, experts, consultants, vendors, and opposing counsel.
  • Manage all phases of document production, including collection, organization, review, privilege logs, and production of hard copy, native, and electronic documents.
  • Collaborate with litigation support vendors to develop and maintain e-discovery databases.
  • Coordinate all aspects of depositions, including scheduling court reporters, videographers, interpreters, conference facilities, and virtual meeting platforms.
  • Prepare trial exhibits, hearing binders, witness materials, and pretrial disclosures.
  • Organize and manage deposition, hearing, and trial transcripts.
  • Provide on-site support during hearings, trials, and pretrial proceedings.
  • Supervise and provide guidance to junior support staff as needed.
QualificationsRequired
  • Associate's degree (Bachelor's degree preferred).
  • ABA-approved Paralegal Certificate.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a case-responsible litigation paralegal supporting complex intellectual property litigation.
  • Experience managing large-scale e-discovery projects and litigation databases.
  • Availability to work overtime, including evenings, weekends, and holidays when necessary.
  • Willingness to travel extensively on short notice, including overnight travel.
Preferred
  • Experience with Inter Partes Review (IPR) proceedings.
  • Prior trial and courtroom support experience in complex IP litigation matters.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) and Adobe Acrobat Pro.
  • Strong working knowledge of e-discovery platforms and litigation support applications.
  • Ability to quickly learn new software and technologies.
  • Exceptional analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple concurrent deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating effectively with attorneys and legal teams.
  • Experience mentoring or directing junior legal support staff.
