  • Contribute to performance evaluations for interior design staff, offering constructive feedback and helping to shape development plans.
  • Lead projects with a focus on commercial interiors, including mixed-use, multi-family, hospitality, and other non-residential environments.
  • Coordinate with architecture and engineering disciplines to ensure integrated, code-compliant, and buildable design solutions.
  • Oversee the development of drawings and documentation using tools such as AutoCAD and Revit to support design intent and construction.
  • Engage directly with clients to understand their organizational needs, communicate design concepts, and manage expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Promote sustainable and wellness-focused design approaches, incorporating principles of biophilic design and WELL-related strategies where appropriate.

Essential Skills

  • Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in architecture or interior design, with at least 15 years in professional interior design roles strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or Interior Design from an accredited institution, with a Bachelor's degree in Interior Design preferred.

  • Strong background in commercial interior design, with emphasis on corporate workplace, mixed-use, multi-family, hospitality, and other non-residential projects.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD for interior design and architectural documentation.
  • Proficiency in Revit for building information modeling and coordination.
  • Demonstrated expertise in interior design, including space planning, furniture layouts, finishes, and overall interior concepts.
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Experience collaborating with architects, consultants, and project stakeholders to deliver integrated design solutions.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly articulate design concepts to clients and project teams.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • NCIDQ certification is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Experience with furniture selection, coordination, and integration into overall interior design schemes.
  • Knowledge of WELL standards, biophilic design principles, and sustainability-focused design strategies.
  • Familiarity with future workplace models and organizational change as they relate to workplace strategy and design.
  • Experience working in a boutique studio or similar environment that emphasizes craftsmanship and design excellence.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead projects from concept to completion with direct client interaction.
  • Comfort operating in a role that does not require prior director-level experience but demands strong leadership capability and initiative.
