An established Architecture and Interior Design firm located in the heart of downtown Chicago is looking to add a Senior Interior Designer to their team!

Job Description

  • Develop interior design solutions that meet client goals
  • Participates in the coordination process with consultants, MEP, etc.
  • Coordinates and oversees the work of interior design project team members
  • Provides mentorship to junior team members
  • Participates in client meetings
  • Creates plans and 3D renderings, assembles presentation drawings, and finish boards
  • Responsible for construction documentation and quality checking their own work and work of team members
  • Participates in the submittal process (addenda sketches, drawing revisions)
  • Assists with the permitting process
  • Participates in punch-list walk throughs

Qualifications

  • Bachelors or Masters of Interior Design from an accredited university
  • 8+ years of experience
  • Prior experience on K-12 education, workplace, municipal, or library projects
  • Proficiency in Revit, Enscape, MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Experience and ability to work independently across all project phases (SD, DD, CD, Bidding/Permitting, CA)
  • Experience in FF&E (research, selection, specs, working with FF&E vendors)
  • Experience with leading/managing a team & multiple projects (scheduling/hours, workload, deadlines, QA/QC)
  • Knowledge of building codes and standard construction methods
  • Willing and able to travel locally (2x/month)
  • Experience that would be a plus: NCIDQ Certification, working knowledge of the Adobe Suite, experience in Deltek for project management

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chicago, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $36.05 - $43.27/hr.
