    The Senior Internal Consultant of Consulting and Service Delivery is a valued member of the Office of the CEO, reporting to the Senior Manager of Consulting and Service Delivery. Under general supervision, the Senior Internal Consultant provides client-facing, consultative, and advisory services to MUSC Health Executive Leadership, Integrated Clinical Centers of Excellence (ICCE), business units, functional areas, and teams, and serves as a collaborative liaison to functions across the health system.


    This position partners with leaders across the enterprise and its divisions to identify opportunities, develop operational plans, and support accountability for performance metrics across all strategic pillars — Quality, Safety, Finance, Growth, People, and Innovation. The Senior Internal Consultant works alongside assigned operational leaders and business units to develop thoughtful, practical solutions that address specific business objectives and advance the health system's strategic intent.


    The Senior Internal Consultant provides support for navigating governance structures, leadership

    accountability frameworks, internal consulting engagements, service delivery, and performance

    transformation. This role requires a strong operational planning and accountability management across the

    service line structure at MUSC Health.


    The Senior Internal Consultant plays an important role in supporting the alignment and activation of the ICCE Accountability Operational Planning Program, helping to connect division-level execution to enterprise-level initiatives that reflect MUSC Health's strategic priorities. This role embraces a forward-looking mindset, drawing on data-driven methodologies and emerging technologies — including intelligent automation and artificial intelligence (AI) — to continuously improve clinical and operational performance across the health system.


    As a vital member of the Office of the CEO, the Senior Internal Consultant of Consulting and Execution supports the alignment of strategic planning to operational execution., and the connection to enterprise level initiatives that support our strategic intent.


    Requirements (Education, Work Experience, Licensure, Registry &/or Certifications)

    Education:


    Master's degree required. Master of Health Administration (MHA) or Master of Business

    Administration (MBA) preferred. Other relevant graduate disciplines (MPH, MS, or equivalent) will be

    considered.


    Experience:


    Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in healthcare administration, management

    consulting, program management, or operational performance improvement. Experience within an academic

    medical center or large, integrated health system is strongly preferred.


    Required Certifications / Skills (or completion within 1 year of hire):

    Certifications:

    Project Management Professional (PMP – Required)

    Organization Change Management (Preferred)


    Preferred Qualifications:

    •AI certifications in healthcare AI applications, AI strategy, or equivalent

    •Experience with AI agent development or intelligent automation platforms


    Job Responsibilities:

    35% - Advisory Consulting – Business Relationship Management:

    Provides advisory, program management (managing multiple

    projects), process improvement and other consultative support to

    leaders, programs, initiatives, projects and or ICCE/Business units

    across the health system.


    40% - ICCE Accountability Operational Planning - Provides support

    for the ICCE Accountability Operational Planning related to

    development of operational plans for service line structure


    30% - Serve as a member of the Office of the Chief Administrative

    Officer: Support the functions of ICCE Accountability

    Operational Plan development, performance alignment,

    measurement, management & accountability, and

    transformation.


    Proactively track and monitor opportunities for improvement

    and organizational expectations of leaders and connect

    resources to improve performance and drive value.


    Mentor and develop staff on projects and professional

    development opportunities, although this role doesn’t have

    direct supervisory responsibilities.


    20% - Serves as a member of the Office of the CEO: Promotes a

    culture of transparency and collaboration across the health

    system and assists business units in navigating the health

    systems processes, procedures and major initiatives.


    10% - Identify opportunities for intelligent automation, AI-

    enabled workflows, and digital innovation to reduce

    administrative burden and strengthen the quality of

    decision-making across the enterprise.

    Additional Job Description

    Education: Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Work Experience: 8 years progressive work experience and 3 years management experience
