Senior Interventionist - Autism Spectrum Program:

Provide 1:1 treatment service to individuals ages 3-21 with an autism spectrum disorder. Services are provided in school and community settings, targeting teaching essential skills including social communication, adaptive behavior, daily living, and functional learning skills.

Provides daily coverage as needed to ensure ASP clients receive services in the absence of an Autism Interventionist (i.e. when AIs utilize CTO, interim coverage until an AI is identified to join a team, start-up of new ASP clients etc.)

Provides leadership and guidance to new and less experienced staff. Assists in training interventionists in formal program trainings and on the job.

Interventionists receive comprehensive training in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) as well as excellent supervision.

Responsibilities:

  • Using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis, effectively implement treatment techniques
  • Implement identified behavior management techniques
  • Implement crisis intervention strategies when needed
  • Collect/record daily data effectively
  • Safely transport clients
  • Complete clinical documentation

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1 year combination of experience, skills and/or education; Bachelor's preferred
  • Valid driver's License, use of a reliable vehicle with an acceptable driving history
  • Ability to establish positive, therapeutic relationships with children while safely managing behavior
  • Solid oral/written communication skill

Structure:

  • Full time (37.5 hours)
  • 217 day annual calendar including:
    • School year (175 days) with paid days off during school vacations
    • 4 week summer program
    • 2+ weeks in-service for ongoing professional development
  • AFSCME Union (dues will apply) 
  • Starting at $23.89/hour 
  • We offer a competitive salary commensurate to experience
