Senior Inventory Accountant, Cost AccountantFull-timeHyla Mobile is a rapidly growing company that provides carrier grade Wireless device trade-in solutions to Wireless Carriers and Retailers around the world. Hyla Mobile's goal is to transform the wireless ecosystem by providing an easy way for Wireless Carriers and Retailers to reward customers through a comprehensive wireless device trade-in program.To support this mission, the Senior Inventory Accountant / Cost Accountant will perform inventory analysis, maintain financial reports, records and general ledgers, and assist with all aspects of inventory accounting, including preparation of recurring and non-recurring accruals, inventory reserve and LCM calculations, application of processing and repair costs, and related account reconciliations.The Organization is currently transitioning the Corporate office from San Diego to Dallas and the role initially for 3 months will require up to 75% travel.ResponsibilitiesAssist in the documentation and maintenance of inventory sub-processes, including the identification and testing of relevant SOX controlsPerform monthly accounting activities, including the preparation of monthly journal entries, related account reconciliations and reportingAssist with the preparation of monthly budget vs. actuals variance analysesActively work with the Inventory Manager, other accounting managers, and accounting staff to develop and operate standard period-end closing schedules and desk proceduresAssist with the execution and/or supervision of inventory existence procedures (wall-to-wall physical inventories and/or cycle count procedures) for company managed and third party locationsAssist the Director of Accounting with the monitoring and tracking of offsite inventory balances and sales activity. Collaborate with Innovation/Process Improvement team to develop a system solution for tracking this inventoryWork with the Director of Accounting, Operations and Sales teams to streamline and improve existing carrier settlement processActively work with the Director of Accounting and IT – Enterprise Reporting team in the development and testing of new inventory reports and assist in related user testingHandle non-routine inventory transactions (write up / write down)Prepare LCM reserve calculations and supporting reportsAssist with the preparation of schedules and/or reports required by external auditors in connection with the audit of the annual financial statementsQualificationsBachelor's Degree in AccountingPublic accounting experience preferredA minimum of six years' experience as an Inventory or Cost AccountantManufacturing/Electronics or Distribution industry experience would be advantageousAn understanding of GAAP in relation to inventoryProficient in MS Excel and MS AccessExperience with setting up SQL Report Queries would be advantageousERP experience required, strong preference for Oracle experienceAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.#J-18808-Ljbffr
