Cleveland-Cliffs Steel has an immediate opening for a Senior SAP Engineer for OTC (Order-to-Cash) processes. As a Senior SAP Engineer at Cleveland-Cliffs, you will be part of a team providing support for the SAP production environment as well as participating in strategic projects as needed.  The ideal candidate will have prior experience in SAP solutions for steelmaking or manufacturing, be self-motivated, willing to seize opportunities for self-development, and thrive in a fast-paced work environment.

  

This role is fully onsite to be performed in one of Cliffs offices located in Cleveland, OH, East Chicago, IN or Westchester, OH. 


Summary of Responsibilities 

  • Be a Functional Leader to manage the production environment for SAP modules employed in the order to cash process 
  • Responsible for the SAP design of the OTC modules by having a good end-to-end knowledge of the business process and how the legacy applications fit in with SAP
  • Ensure knowledge of SAP OTC is current by staying up to date within these areas
  • Ensure all new developments conform to SAP standards
  • Train end users by conducting knowledge sessions and assisting with user documentation
  • Must be able to act as a liaison with Business users to gather requirements, design, and deliver technical solutions related to SAP S/4 for Sales and Distribution in relation to Order Management, Pricing, Variant Configuration and EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) 
  • Work with the technical team in the designing and development of workflows, reports, interfaces, data conversions, enhancements, and forms (WRICEF). In conjunction with team members, validate the business design with the users and execute system unit and integration testing
  • Capable of providing overall leadership to others on larger change requests or projects impacting many SAP disciplines
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications 

  • BS in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent 
  • 5 years SAP SD and working knowledge in other integrated modules like MM, FI-AR 
  • Experience in a full project lifecycle end to end  
  • Strong exposure to EDI’s (850, 855, 810, 830 etc.)
  • Knowledge of RFC’s, BAPI’s, BADI’s, BDC’s, User Exits, and enhancement points
  • Strong knowledge of outbound/inbound ABAP interfaces using IDOCs, BAPIs, RFCs, and flat files 
  • Broad technical knowledge - including all key SAP functionality and technology
  • Expert in IDOC enhancements
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Travel is required for less than 10% of the time

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Manufacturing or Steel experience 
  • IBM WebSphere Middleware exposure 
  • CDS views, BOPF, OData  
  • ABAP debugging skills.  
  • Fiori knowledge 
  • BRF+ knowledge 
  • Cloud experience in Cloud for customer CRM (C4C)  
  • Good understanding about GATP and AATP concepts
  • SAP HANA 2021 on premise experience  
  • O365 Microsoft tools 
  • Ability to multi-task and strong time management skills 
  • Experience with ITIL concepts and processes
