DescriptionJob SummaryWe are seeking a highly experienced Senior IT Architect to lead the design, modernization, and implementation of enterprise-scale IT systems.This role requires deep expertise in cloud computing, AI/ML technologies, and full software development life cycle (SDLC).The ideal candidate will drive large-scale legacy system transformation, architect cloud-native solutions, and provide technical leadership across complex government or enterprise programs.Key ResponsibilitiesLead end-to-end architecture, design, and modernization of legacy systems into scalable, cloud-based platformsDesign and implement AI/ML solutions, including LLMs, RAG pipelines, and data-driven decision systemsArchitect and deploy applications on AWS using services such as EC2, S3, and data platforms like Databricks and MongoDBGuide full lifecycle software development, from requirements and prototyping to testing and production deploymentLead reverse engineering and code modernization efforts (e.g., mainframe assembly to Java/Spark)Develop and review enterprise architecture artifacts, including solution architecture documents and system designsProvide technical leadership and mentorship to cross-functional teamsConduct system performance analysis, optimization, and scalability planningCollaborate with stakeholders, executives, and program leadership to align IT strategy with business goalsParticipate in independent technical assessments, reviews, and advisory panelsRequired QualificationsMaster’s /Ph.D. in Physics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (strong mathematical background preferred)15+ years of experience in IT architecture and enterprise system developmentProven expertise in cloud platforms, especially AWSStrong experience in Java, Spark (Java/SQL), and distributed systemsHands-on experience with AI/ML technologies and data processing pipelinesExtensive experience in legacy system modernization and re-engineeringDeep understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks and SOAExperience with databases such as Oracle, DB2, MongoDB, and MPP systemsStrong leadership, communication, and teamwork skillsExperience working on large-scale government or regulated industry programsPreferred QualificationsExperience with tools and platforms such as Databricks, SAS, FICO Blaze, Informatica, and WebSphereExperience with mainframe systems, assembly language, and reverse engineering toolsExperience with business rules engines and workflow systemsKnowledge of security and compliance requirements in government environmentsPrior role as Chief Architect, Solution Architect, or Technical Lead on large programsKey CompetenciesEnterprise Architecture & System DesignAI/ML & Data EngineeringCloud Computing (AWS)Legacy ModernizationTechnical LeadershipProblem Solving & Analytic
