We are in search of a Senior IT Auditor to join our firm.  This is a technical position which requires a sound working knowledge of fundamental IT auditing procedures and can be located in any of our 10 office locations across Virginia and Maryland. 

Core Responsibilities

  • Performing and delivering SOC engagements in accordance with firm’s defined methodology 
  • Work closely with PBMares leaders and clients to scope and plan SOC attestation engagements 
  • Assist in the performance of Cybersecurity audits and risk assessments
  • Utilize scanning tools such as Nessus to perform vulnerability scans of client networks 
  • Responsible for timely communications to PBMares leadership and clients on progress of client engagements 
  • Review work papers and ensures quality of engagement files to support firm’s quality standards 
  • Follows the progress of engagements and helps to identify and research issues as assigned
  • Mentor and coach staff level co-workers as needed
  • Participate in firm-wide initiatives and ongoing education opportunities including CPE development

Job Requirements

  • 3-5 years of relevant IT audit experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in CIS, Accounting, or a related field
  • CISA certification desired
  • CPA license desired
  • Familiarity with IT and Cybersecurity control frameworks such as COBIT, NIST, and CIS
  • Displays the ability to make sound decisions under pressure
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
