Overview
This technical and professional position is responsible for providing independent assessments and audits of the Bank and Holding Company's internal control and regulatory compliance mechanisms, Information Technology (IT) controls, and management's adherence to established policies and procedures. Work is performed within the framework of established audit standards and regulatory examination guidelines with independent judgment and discretion required in performing assigned tasks. The position assists in providing timely, accurate, and independent information to management and the Audit Committee relating to the effectiveness of controls, the accuracy of financial information, and the efficiency of operations.
Primary Responsibilities
Qualifications
Senior IT Auditor
Requires advanced degree or equivalent work experience and demonstrated successful audit work experience. Is expected to have extensive knowledge of WTB products and operations. Is expected to independently perform all but the largest, most complex IT audits. May provide guidance and mentoring to lower-level auditors.
Plans and conducts IT risk assessments and internal audits of relevant banking areas.
Prepares written reports to management and the Audit Committees communicating the results of audit projects.
Able to work at a high level of productivity and efficiency, without close supervision.
Manages IT Auditable Entities in accordance with audit policy and procedures.
Acts as auditor-in-charge on complex IT audit projects, including supervising staff, workpaper review, and monitoring progress. Apprises higher-level audit personnel and management of the status of audit projects and progress toward completion.
Assists management, as requested, in improving their internal control practices for new and existing environments.
Assists in providing selected training to internal audit personnel and bank staff.
Works closely with line management and staff to document and communicate findings.
Compensation:
Senior Auditor - $89,158 - $133,794
The compensation range represents the low and high end of the base compensation range for this position located in Spokane, WA. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. This position is eligible to participate in an applicable incentive plan.
