Lighthouse Technology Services is partnering with our client to fill their Senior IT Business Systems Lead position!
This is a direct placement opportunity and will be onsite in Lockport, NY. No C2C or subcontracting arrangements will be considered.
What You'll Be Doing:
Build and maintain a 12-36 month technology roadmap covering hardware, networks, cybersecurity, ERP systems, data/reporting, and user support aligned with business goals and operational priorities
Lead and govern third-party managed IT and cybersecurity providers responsible for infrastructure, networks, hardware deployment, help desk operations, monitoring, and security performance
Own the ERP roadmap for standardization, automation, reporting improvements, inventory reduction support, and integration with HR, payroll, and other business systems while reducing long-term dependency on external support
Establish and oversee a proactive cybersecurity posture including endpoint protection, access controls, backups, disaster recovery, monitoring, email security, and fraud prevention
Build and manage the IT and business systems budget, including managed services, ERP consulting, software licensing, hardware refresh, security tools, and integration projects
Support food safety and regulatory compliance requirements by ensuring technology systems maintain data integrity, access controls, traceability, document control, and audit readiness
Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Sales, Compliance, Quality, HR, and Administration to improve standardization, automation, and documentation
Ensure reliable help desk experience through clear communication around outages, changes, and user support while using ticket trends to drive root-cause improvements
Evaluate and recommend the optimal outsourced versus internal mix of IT capabilities based on operational effectiveness and financial impact
Present business cases for major technology investments and changes to the internal/external support model
What You'll Need to Have:
This is a leadership seat focused on direction, prioritization, quality of decisions, and accountability.
10+ years of progressive IT, business systems, or technology leadership experience, including at least 5 years with vendor and budget ownership in mid-market manufacturing, distribution, or similar environment
Proven experience leading a hybrid IT model with limited internal staff and multiple third-party partners (managed service providers, ERP consultants, software vendors)
Strong ERP and business-systems background; Epicor experience strongly preferred or equivalent mid-market manufacturing ERP platform experience
Practical cybersecurity oversight experience with the ability to assess risk, set priorities, and challenge external recommendations when needed
Demonstrated success translating business needs such as inventory reduction, automation, risk management, and standardization into effective technology and systems plans
Understanding of how technology supports food safety documentation, traceability, audit readiness, and compliance in regulated manufacturing environments (SQF experience strongly preferred)
Comfortable operating within a disciplined management framework with clear accountability, scorecards, and issue resolution (experience with EOS or similar frameworks is a plus)
Strong cross-functional communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization
Pay Range: $120,000 - $160,000 plus potential annual bonus based on company/individual performance
