What You Will Do
- Provide reliable day-to-day IT support for employees and business teams across the US.
- Support and continuously improve workplace services, endpoint management, collaboration tools, and Microsoft 365-based solutions.
- Serve as a trusted local IT partner for users, site leadership, global IT teams, and external service providers.
- Maintain and support workplace, network, infrastructure, cloud, and security-related services in alignment with global IT standards.
- Manage IT assets, user accounts, access rights, onboarding and offboarding support, hardware lifecycle activities, and workplace readiness.
- Support cybersecurity, compliance, vulnerability management, patching, backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity activities.
- Provide hands-on support for business-critical engineering and R&D software environments, including licensing, infrastructure dependencies, and user support.
- Participate in regional and international IT projects, rollouts, standardization initiatives, and digital workplace improvements.
- Identify opportunities to streamline, automate, and improve IT processes, service quality, and the overall employee technology experience.
The job can be partially performed from a home office, but the applicant must go into the Williston office on average 2-3 days a week.
Occasional travel is required, 3-4 times a year, to support other SUSS sites in California and Arizona, or for training at our Headquarters in Germany.
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience.
- Several years of experience in IT operations, infrastructure, workplace services, help desk, desktop support, or a comparable technical support environment.
- Strong working knowledge of Windows environments, Microsoft 365, endpoint management, cloud-based services, and hybrid infrastructure concepts.
- Practical experience with network, security, virtualization, and infrastructure technologies such as Cisco, Palo Alto, VMware, VxRail, Nutanix, UniFi, or comparable solutions.
- Hands-on troubleshooting skills and the ability to support users both remotely and on site in a professional, service-oriented manner.
- Awareness of cybersecurity, IT governance, data privacy, access management, and compliance requirements in a corporate environment.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical teams, business users, leadership, and external vendors.
- A structured, proactive, and solution-oriented mindset, combined with curiosity for new technologies and continuous improvement.
- Experience with engineering or R&D software environments is a plus.
- Ability to collaborate with global teams across different time zones.
