Description

Our client, a highly respected financial services organization, is seeking a Senior IT Project Manager to join their team.

Responsibilities
  • Lead complex IT projects through the full project lifecycle, including planning, execution, monitoring, implementation, and closure.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, overseeing scope, timelines, resources, budgets, milestones, risks, issues, and dependencies.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, status reporting, and executive-level communications.
  • Partner closely with business stakeholders, architects, developers, technical teams, and external partners to drive successful delivery.
  • Support technology initiatives including software development, system implementations, data migration, cybersecurity, and other IT projects.
  • Drive project governance, stakeholder alignment, risk management, and effective decision-making.
  • Ensure projects follow established project management methodologies, SDLC processes, and organizational governance standards.
  • Ensure alignment with regulatory, compliance, and risk requirements.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts within the Project Management organization.
  • Provide informal mentorship and knowledge sharing to other Project Managers.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of IT Project Management experience preferred; candidates with strong relevant experience may be considered.
  • Proven experience managing complex technology projects within an IT environment.
  • Experience supporting software development, system implementations, data migration, cybersecurity, or other technology initiatives.
  • Banking, financial services, or other regulated industry experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC processes and ability to partner effectively with technical teams.
  • Strong Waterfall project management experience required; Agile experience is a plus.
  • Experience managing multiple projects with competing priorities and complex dependencies.
  • Experience with project management tools such as Microsoft Project and Azure DevOps.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical teams, business partners, and executive leadership.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence, collaborate, and drive accountability.
  • Professional presence with strong executive communication skills.
