Senior IT Project Manager

Summary:

• Location: Chicago, IL, Charlotte, NC, Iselin, NJ, USA

Responsibilities:

• Organize project teams by assigning individual responsibilities, developing project schedules, and determining resource requirements.
• Estimate costs, resources, and time required to complete each project phase, ensuring targets are met.
• Implement established project plans and monitor progress and performance.
• Monitor project status, including cost, timing, and staffing, and identify and resolve obstacles.
• Conduct project meetings and prepare regular reports to communicate project status.
• Coordinate activities of outside contractors to ensure integration and satisfactory service standards.
• Lead cross-functional projects from initiation through delivery using Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
• Develop comprehensive project plans, maintain documentation, and identify and mitigate risks.
• Act as the primary liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders.
• Manage vendor relationships, oversee contract deliverables, and ensure compliance with service level agreements.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Minimum 5 years of project management experience.
• PMP/RTE or equivalent certification.
• Proficiency in project management tools (JIRA, MS Project) and methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).
• Strong understanding of project management frameworks, tools, and best practices.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to manage large, complex projects.
• Experience coordinating and managing vendor relationships and third-party deliverables.
• Strong analytical and communication skills with the ability to present findings to senior leadership.

Preferred Skills:

• PMP, RTE, CAPM, CSM, or similar certification.
• Experience in the financial services/asset management industry.
• Familiarity with capacity planning, scoping, and resource allocation.
• Experience with vendor management.
