Senior IT Project Manager Data Governance & Enterprise SystemsJob Location: Lansing, MI, USA, 48933Work Model: Hybrid Work Model Details: On-site 2 days per week (Tue & Wed) Shift: Mon-Fri 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Employment Type: Temporary Min Hourly Rate: $75.00 Max Hourly Rate: $90.00Must Have Skills/Attributes: Data Governance, Data Infrastructure, Project Management, Systems Development Experience Desired: Experience working effectively in team environments within matrix organizations (5+ yrs); Experience resolving complex high-priority conflicts and competing requirements (5+ yrs); Experience with data infrastructure concepts and data governance fundamentals (5+ yrs); Experience applying Project Management principles methodologies and best practices (5+ yrs); System development methodologies for building new systems & enhancing existing information systems (5+ yrs)Required Experience Knowledge Abilities and SkillsExperience working effectively in team environments within matrix organizations (5+ years)Experience resolving complex high-priority conflicts and competing requirements (5+ years)Experience with data infrastructure concepts and data governance fundamentals (5+ years)Experience applying Project Management principles methodologies and best practices (5+ years)Experience with system development methodologies for building new systems and enhancing existing information systems (5+ years)Experience working with data communications and information systems hardware and software concepts and operating principles (5+ years)Experience communicating stakeholder needs clearly and effectively (5+ years)Experience analyzing data identifying problems and developing actionable solutions (5+ years)Experience conducting training sessions and facilitating informational workshops (5+ years)Experience communicating across teams building consensus facilitating working sessions and negotiating outcomes (5+ years)Experience managing stakeholder relationships maintaining positive interactions and resolving issues (5+ years)Preferred Experience Knowledge Abilities and SkillsPrevious experience working in a government or public sector environmentExperience in multiple relevant roles (e.g. Project Manager Program Manager Project Coordinator or similar leadership/support roles)This position provides oversight, leadership, accountability and project management functions for large strategic projects and programs with high visibility at the Agency Executive level. These projects and programs require a fully dedicated project manager due to the level of complexity, degree of intricate detail and accountability to executive leadership. Strategic projects typically have a large diverse set of stakeholders, utilize vendor participation, require coordination of multiple complex schedules and significant integration with other systems. Strategic projects typically have durations of 2 years or longer with 50 or more team members, require communication at the Agency Executive level and have a significant risk.This position will ensure consistency with the Client project management methodology (SUITE), perform long-term release planning based on organizational direction, regularly interact with the project management teams for status of budget, quality and schedule, escalate issues and risks as needed to executives and exercise project quality control activities to ensure project scope expectations are met.Job ResponsibilitiesManage direct engagement with stakeholders and vendors dedicating approximately 15–20% of time to executive-level communication including high-level project oversight stakeholder alignment and leading monthly sponsor meetings to provide project health updatesEstablish and monitor project controlling methods to ensure timely knowledge and awareness of changes to project cost quality or scheduleProvide planning staffing and reporting to ensure the successful completion of assigned projects according to the sponsor's goals and objectives Planning staffing and reporting should adhere to the Client's SUITE Project Management Methodology and the Agency's project prioritization process Planning staffing and reporting spans the entire lifecycle of the project from initiation to closeoutDirects and coordinates the day-to-day activities tasks and deliverables required from the project team according to the project planPerform miscellaneous functions as needed to contribute to the overall operation and objectives of the Client**Only those lawfully authorized to work in the designated country associated with the position will be considered.****Please note that all Position start dates and duration are estimates and may be reduced or lengthened based upon a client's business needs and requirements.**
