Senior IT Project Manager

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior IT Project Manager to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex enterprise technology initiatives. This role oversees multiple concurrent projects focused on infrastructure modernization, application delivery, cloud technologies, system integrations, and platform upgrades while collaborating with technical teams and executive stakeholders. The ideal candidate combines strong project management expertise with a solid understanding of enterprise IT infrastructure and software delivery.

Job Duties

• Lead multiple concurrent IT projects through initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and successful completion.
• Develop and manage project schedules, scope, budgets, timelines, resources, risks, issues, and dependencies.
• Coordinate cross-functional technical teams, including infrastructure, application development, database administration, cloud engineering, cybersecurity, and third-party vendors.
• Facilitate project governance activities, executive communications, status reporting, and stakeholder meetings.
• Create and maintain project documentation, including project charters, work plans, schedules, RAID logs, meeting minutes, and status reports.
• Partner with technical architects and engineering teams to identify implementation impacts, technical risks, and deployment strategies.
• Manage vendor and contractor performance to ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and deadlines.
• Support enterprise infrastructure modernization, technology lifecycle management, and application modernization initiatives.
• Oversee projects involving infrastructure upgrades, data center migrations, cloud and hybrid environments, software platform upgrades, system integrations, APIs, and enterprise application implementations.
• Ensure projects align with organizational governance standards, technology strategies, and business objectives.

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of IT project management experience.
• Experience managing technical or infrastructure-focused IT projects.
• Demonstrated ability to successfully manage multiple concurrent projects.
• Experience working with cross-functional technical teams.
• Strong risk management, issue management, stakeholder management, and project coordination skills.
• Familiarity with project management methodologies, including PMI, Agile, and Hybrid approaches.
• PMP certification.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing infrastructure upgrades, system migrations, or technology modernization initiatives.
• Working knowledge of Windows Server environments, databases, cloud platforms, networking, or enterprise applications.
• Experience coordinating with solution architects, infrastructure engineers, and software development teams.
• Experience using Microsoft Project, Azure DevOps, Microsoft Planner, Jira, or similar project management tools.
• Experience working within public sector or government environments.
