Akkodis is seeking a Senior IT Project Manager for a Contract with a client in Rochester, NY. The ideal candidate with experience leading enterprise software development projects, coordinating cross-functional teams, and driving successful project delivery using Agile and Waterfall methodologies.

Rate Range: $45/hour to $47/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Senior IT Project Manager Job Responsibilities include:

• Lead end-to-end software development projects, ensuring delivery within scope, schedule, budget, and quality objectives using Agile and Waterfall methodologies.

• Coordinate cross-functional teams, vendors, customers, and stakeholders to drive project execution, issue resolution, and successful product delivery.

• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, risk registers, status reports, dashboards, and executive-level presentations.

• Manage customer onboarding, API support activities, production issue resolution, system monitoring, and operational support for enterprise applications.

• Facilitate requirements gathering, release planning, stakeholder communication, and project governance to ensure business and customer expectations are met.

• Provide leadership and guidance to project teams while monitoring project progress, mitigating risks, managing dependencies, and driving continuous process improvements.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Business Administration, or a related technical discipline; master's degree preferred.

• 10+ years of experience in IT Project Management, Systems Development, Software Delivery, or Enterprise Technology Programs.

• Proven experience leading complex software development projects using Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery methodologies, with hands-on expertise in Jira, Azure DevOps, project governance, and stakeholder management.

• Strong background in enterprise software development environments, customer-facing project delivery, operational support, risk management, and executive-level communication with business and technical stakeholders.

Pay Details: $45.00 to $47.00 per hour
