Senior IT Project Manager

Location: Remote (must work PST hours)

Employment Type: Contract

Compensation: $85-100/hr W2 (No C2C please)

LHH is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead complex, enterprise-wide technology initiatives for a confidential client in the life sciences industry. This role will be responsible for driving strategic technology programs with a strong focus on Artificial Intelligence (AI) implementation, digital transformation, and organizational readiness.

The ideal candidate will bring a blend of technical project leadership, life sciences industry experience, and proven expertise in Organizational Change Management (OCM) to successfully guide stakeholders through technology adoption and business transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of enterprise IT projects focused on AI, automation, digital transformation, and business process optimization.

  • Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, risks, dependencies, and resource planning across cross-functional teams.

  • Partner with business leaders, technology teams, vendors, and executive stakeholders to align project objectives with strategic business goals.

  • Drive end-to-end AI implementation initiatives, including solution deployment, user adoption, governance, and operational readiness.

  • Develop and execute Organizational Change Management strategies that support successful technology adoption and minimize business disruption.

  • Create and maintain project plans, status reports, executive dashboards, communications plans, and steering committee presentations.

  • Facilitate requirements gathering, business process analysis, and stakeholder workshops.

  • Identify and mitigate project risks while proactively addressing issues and roadblocks.

  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory, quality, and validation requirements common within life sciences environments.

  • Track project performance metrics and continuously improve project delivery methodologies.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, Engineering, or a related field. In lieu of degree, experience will be considered

  • 7+ years of experience managing complex IT projects within medium to large organizations.

  • Demonstrated experience leading AI implementation projects, including generative AI, machine learning, automation, intelligent process automation, or related technologies.

  • Prior experience working in the life sciences, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, medical device, or healthcare technology sectors is required.

  • Strong background in Organizational Change Management (OCM), including stakeholder engagement, communications, training, and adoption strategies.

  • Experience utilizing project management methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid frameworks.

  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Experience managing multiple concurrent initiatives in fast-paced, highly regulated environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP, Agile, Scrum Master, Prosci, or related certifications.

  • Experience supporting GxP, FDA-regulated, clinical, quality, R&D, manufacturing, or commercial technology initiatives.

  • Knowledge of enterprise platforms such as Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Copilot, Salesforce, SAP, Veeva, ServiceNow, or similar solutions.

  • Experience establishing AI governance, compliance, and responsible AI practices.

  • Master's degree in a related field.
