Senior IT Project Manager / Scrum Master

Job Description: 
This is a hybrid Project Manager/Scrum Master role focused on improving delivery discipline, team organization, and execution. The successful candidate will work closely with development, QA, architecture, business stakeholders, and IT leadership to manage day-to-day delivery, facilitate Agile ceremonies, maintain momentum, identify risks and dependencies, and remove roadblocks impacting software and architecture initiatives.

The ideal candidate will be a seasoned IT professional with significant experience working directly with software development or engineering teams. This is not a strictly process-oriented Scrum Master position; the individual must be comfortable understanding technical challenges, holding development teams accountable, escalating issues, and helping resolve blockers. Over time, the role may expand to include Product Owner responsibilities, including gathering stakeholder input and helping prioritize team initiatives.
 
Key Responsibilities & Qualifications:

• Lead day-to-day delivery activities for an IT engineering team.
• Facilitate Agile/Scrum ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Track commitments, risks, dependencies, and issues while driving timely resolution.
• Partner with development, QA, architecture, and business stakeholders to maintain delivery momentum.
• Identify and remove technical and organizational roadblocks.
• Establish effective Agile delivery practices tailored to the team.
• Communicate project status and issues clearly to technical and business leadership.
• 7+ years of IT project management, Scrum Master, Agile Delivery, or related experience.
• Strong experience supporting software development and/or engineering teams.
• Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum and enterprise IT delivery.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Product Owner experience and/or Jira experience is a plus.
