Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Java Backend / Full-Stack-leaning Engineer to join our Enterprise Finance Technology Treasury Data Services team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Java, RESTful services, Spring Boot, and Oracle PL/SQL and a proven ability to design, build, and deliver resilient data management solutions that automate data quality checks and reconciliations for Corporate Treasury.

Start and Work Location Details:

• Start: ASAP. Target start is 2-4 weeks after offer. A specific start date is required due to business needs.
• Approved locations: Jersey City, NJ (NJ2-101-14-01) or Plano, TX (TX2-982-02-25). Please include current location and intent on resume.
• Hybrid schedule with a minimum of 3 days per week onsite.
• Glider candidate ID verification required.

Role Overview

This role contributes to the design, development, testing, and integration of a complex application that supports critical data management capabilities for Corporate Treasury. The scope includes automated data quality checks, reconciliations, and robust service interfaces across distributed components.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver software that meets functional, non-functional, and compliance requirements.
• Design, code, and unit test solutions with clear and well-tested interfaces integrated into the overall system.
• Refine stories and define requirements in collaboration with product and engineering partners.
• Estimate work and guide the team through the delivery lifecycle.
• Conduct spikes and proofs of concept to mitigate risk and validate approaches.
• Utilize architectural components across data, application, and business domains in solution design.
• Resolve technical complexities and support teammates in story realization.
• Contribute to and maintain integration, regression, and performance test suites.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 7+ years of Java development with Core Java, REST services, and Spring Boot.
• Experience deploying and tuning applications on Tomcat in Windows and Linux environments.
• Strong RDBMS skills with Oracle, including querying and PL/SQL.
• Background in object-oriented programming and Agile development methodology.

Preferred Skills:

• Selenium and Cucumber for test automation.
• CI/CD tooling such as Ansible, Jenkins, Artifactory, and Git/Bitbucket.
• Container and platform experience with OpenShift, Kubernetes, and microservices.
• JavaScript experience preferred: Angular 2+, AngularJS, CSS, Node.js.
• B.S. or M.S. in Information Technology or Computer Science.
• Financial industry domain experience.
