Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Java Developer with strong expertise in Core Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, REST APIs, and Sybase Database. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience developing enterprise-grade applications, working with complex databases, optimizing application performance, and supporting mission-critical systems.

Experience within Banking or Capital Markets environments is highly preferred.

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable enterprise applications using Core Java and Spring Boot.
• Develop and maintain microservices-based applications using Spring Boot.
• Design, develop, and integrate RESTful APIs for enterprise applications.
• Work extensively with Sybase Database, including SQL queries, stored procedures, database programming, and optimization.
• Perform application and database performance tuning to improve system reliability and response times.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex production and application issues in mission-critical environments.
• Participate in application modernization and migration initiatives involving microservices.
• Write clean, maintainable, reusable, and production-ready Java code.
• Develop unit and integration tests to ensure application quality and reliability.
• Collaborate with architects, developers, QA, DevOps, and business teams throughout the SDLC.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Support production deployments and provide technical troubleshooting as required.
• Follow enterprise security, coding, testing, and development standards.

• 8 10+ years of professional Java development experience
• Strong hands-on experience with Core Java
• Strong experience with Spring Boot
• Proven experience developing Microservices
• Strong experience with REST APIs / RESTful Web Services
• Hands-on experience with Sybase Database
• Strong SQL and database programming skills
• Experience with application and database performance tuning
• Strong understanding of enterprise application development
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Strong problem-solving and production support skills
