Description
Our Client, an IT Services and Consultant company, is looking for a Senior Java Developer for their New York, NY location.

Responsibilities:
- Design and develop robust, scalable, and high-performance backend applications using Java 17+
- Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices using Spring Boot 3.3.x
- Implement data persistence and complex queries using JPA with relational or NoSQL databases
- Develop and support event-driven architectures using Kafka and MQ messaging systems
- Containerize services using Docker for consistent deployment in cloud-native environments
- Collaborate with front-end teams to ensure seamless API integration and end-to-end functionality
- Contribute to UI development using Angular (17+/19+)
- Participate in CI/CD pipelines and source control using Git
- Provide guidance and mentorship to development teams and ensure adherence to architectural standards
- Define system architecture aligned with business and user needs
Requirements:
- Strong experience with Java 17+ and backend development
- Expertise in Spring Boot microservices and REST API development
- Hands-on experience with JPA and database integration (SQL/NoSQL)
- Required Skills & Experience
- Strong proficiency in Java (core concepts, frameworks, and libraries)
- Hands-on experience with:
- Spring Boot
- JPA / Hibernate
- REST API development
- Experience with Angular 17+ (or higher) and TypeScript
- Familiarity with Docker, Git, and CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions)
- Experience working with Kafka and messaging systems (MQ)
- Strong understanding of software architecture principles and design patterns
- Experience with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle) or NoSQL (MongoDB)
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Strong testing and debugging skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Preferred Qualifications
- Experience designing enterprise-level architectures
- Proven ability to mentor teams and lead technical discussions
- Exposure to full-stack development and UI integration
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to manage technical deliverables and timelines
