Job Summary
Senior Java Full Stack Developer with 12 years of experience in designing, developing, and deploying enterprise-scale applications using Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, Kafka, and AWS Cloud. Proven expertise in building cloud-native, event-driven, and highly scalable distributed systems for Banking, Financial Services, and Enterprise domains. Strong experience across the full software development lifecycle, including architecture, development, testing, CI/CD, containerization, and cloud deployment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement robust Java-based microservices to process and serve complex geospatial data with high performance and reliability.
- Develop and optimize Spring Boot services integrating geospatial libraries and data sources to deliver efficient spatial queries and analytical features.
- Configure and manage AWS EC2 environments to host and scale microservices, ensuring availability and cost efficiency.
- Collaborate with product owners and geospatial analysts to translate domain requirements into technical designs and implementation plans.
- Review and refactor existing Java/Spring Boot codebases to improve modularity, maintainability, and adherence to best practices.
- Implement secure APIs and interfaces for reliable data exchange between geospatial services, external systems, and client applications.
- Monitor application performance and resource utilization on AWS EC2, proposing improvements to enhance throughput and stability.
- Coordinate with QA teams to define test strategies including unit, integration, and performance testing for geospatial workflows.
- Prepare detailed technical documentation covering architecture, deployment configurations, and operational procedures.
- Mentor team members on advanced Java concepts, microservices patterns, and effective use of Spring Boot features.
- Engage with stakeholders to plan delivery milestones, estimate effort, and ensure timely delivery of geospatial solutions.
- Ensure compliance with governance standards, data protection guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement by adopting emerging tools, frameworks, and patterns to enhance geospatial capabilities.
Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in Core and Advanced Java (multithreading, collections, performance optimization).
- Hands-on expertise with Spring Boot for building microservices (dependency injection, RESTful services, configuration management, observability).
- Practical experience designing and deploying microservices architectures for high-volume, low-latency geospatial data.
- Working knowledge of AWS EC2 provisioning, configuration, and management.
- Understanding of geospatial concepts (coordinate reference systems, vector/raster data, spatial indexing).
- Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases for geospatial applications.
- Experience with CI/CD practices to automate build, test, and deployment pipelines.
- Strong problem-solving skills in geospatial workflows with scalable technical solutions.
- Effective communication with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Commitment to coding standards, reviews, and continuous learning.
- 12 years of Java development experience guiding architectural decisions.
- Exposure to cloud-native services (container orchestration, monitoring tools) preferred.
- Experience in Agile environments with close collaboration and quick feedback cycles.
