Senior Java Developer

Location: Hybrid – On-site 2 days per week (Tuesday & Wednesday)

About the Role

A leading enterprise technology team is seeking a Senior Java Developer to contribute to high-visibility digital initiatives. This role will focus on developing and maintaining scalable, high-performance applications supporting multiple business-critical projects.

The ideal candidate is a seasoned Java developer with expertise in modern Java concepts and reactive programming (Spring WebFlux, RxJava). This position requires a self-starter who can ramp up quickly, operate at a near-lead level, and navigate evolving requirements with minimal documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable Java-based applications in a cloud environment.

• Work with reactive programming frameworks such as Spring WebFlux and RxJava.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact software solutions.

• Adapt to evolving project requirements, working independently to develop solutions.

• Identify and implement best practices to optimize application performance and reliability.

• Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing.

Required Qualifications

• Senior-level Java development experience, including modern Java features.

• Expertise in Spring WebFlux and RxJava for reactive stream processing.

• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.

• Ability to work independently with minimal guidance while collaborating effectively with teams.

• Strong communication skills—able to express technical concepts clearly and concisely.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in lead or near-lead capacities (even without formal leadership responsibilities).

• Background in enterprise-scale applications and cloud-based or microservices environments.
