Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a
Senior Java Developer for a
CONTRACT assignment with one of our premier
Regulatory clients in
Rockville, MD or Tysons, VA. Responsibilities :
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver technical solutions that meet business requirements
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers
- Ensure code quality, performance optimization, and adherence to best practices
- Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to technical strategy
- Support production systems and troubleshoot complex technical issues
- Defines technical solutions or operational processes to improve efficiency
- Strong experience with Java and Angular
- Demonstrates the firm's values
- Collaborates, both in-person and virtually
Required Skills :
- 10+ years of design develop, and maintenance
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline with at least 8 years of related experience, or equivalent training and/or work experience
- System design experience
- Strong experience in developing Frontend application
- Strong experience with cloud technologies
- Experience in performance tuning and optimization
- Experience in DevOps and CI/CD technologies
- Experience in test automation and unit testing
- Experience in software security
Core Technical Skills- AWS
- Core services: EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, ECS, Fargate, Step Functions, API Gateway, SQS, SNS, CloudFront
- CloudWatch and Splunk for monitoring and troubleshooting
- IAM, security services, and VPC networking
- Programming & Development
- Java, Spring Boot, JPA
- Frontend applications: Angular
- RESTful API design and microservices architecture
- CI/CD pipelines (GitLab exposure preferred)
- Databases
