Our client, a IT Services and Consulting company, is looking for a Senior Java Microservices Engineer (Java 17, Spring Boot, Kafka) for their Irving, TX/ Hybrid location.
Responsibilities:
Target Senior Java Microservices Engineers with hands-on expertise in Java 17, Spring Boot, Kafka, J2EE, REST/SOAP services, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines. Prefer candidates from Banking or Financial Services with cloud experience
Avoid profiles lacking Kafka, modern microservices architecture, or enterprise backend development experience.
Requirements:
8+ years of Java software development.
Strong experience designing and delivering enterprise-grade backend applications and microservices.
Ability to independently lead design, development, and delivery.
10–12 years of experience in software development
Strong proficiency in Java 17 with hands-on experience in Spring Boot-based microservices development
Solid experience in Java (8+), JUnit, J2EE, and Web Services (SOAP & REST)
Hands-on experience with Kafka is mandatory
Experience with Kubernetes; exposure to React.js is a plus
Proficient in CI/CD and DevOps tools such as GitHub, Jenkins, Urban Code Deploy / Harness
Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum/Jira) is mandatory
Self-driven and highly motivated, with the ability to take ownership and deliver with minimal supervision
Continuous learner, actively exploring new technologies, frameworks, and industry best practices (especially in modern architecture and engineering trends)
Ability to lead engineering efforts independently, driving design, development, and delivery end-to-end
Hands on knowledge in designing and delivering Java/ J2EE using spring boot
