    Senior Land Design EngineerTake Your Design Career to the Next LevelKleinfelder, a Forbes' Top Employer for Engineers in North America, is committed to a people‑first culture, technical excellence, and creating opportunities where employees can thrive.LocationRaleigh, North CarolinaAtlanta, GeorgiaCharlotte, North CarolinaKey ResponsibilitiesUnder supervision, complete civil engineering designs and generate professional plans, specifications, technical calculations, exhibits, and reports in the following areas:Site Layout, Grading, Storm Drainage, Water & Sewer UtilitiesErosion and Sediment ControlStorm Water Best Management PracticesVariety of Civil 3D Plans, exhibits, and technical deliverablesMunicipal and State permittingClient SupportEvaluate design to solve constructability, municipal code, and site challenges.Coordinate with Architects, Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing Engineers.Perform site visits to scope work and coordinate with survey crews, SUE, Geotech, etc.Provide periodic construction support, including review of RFIs and shop drawings, field inspections, etc.Education & CertificationRequired: Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering.Preferred: Professional Engineer (PE) license, or ability to obtain within 6 months.Skills & ExperienceExcellent written and verbal communication skills.Self‑starter who can work independently and with team members.Ability to engage in multiple projects and deliver successful requirements.Strong organizational and multi‑tasking skills.Proactive troubleshooting and problem‑solving with client‑focused solutions.Experience dealing with regulatory agencies and review professionals.3–8+ years of related civil engineering experience.Computer skills: AutoCAD Civil 3D, HydroCAD, WaterCAD, MS Office.Following an offer, candidates will be required to satisfactorily complete employment reference checks, verification of professional licensure and/or educational credentials, a motor vehicle report (MVR), and a comprehensive background check.BenefitsKleinfelder offers an excellent compensation and benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k) plan, and paid holidays.Equal OpportunityKleinfelder, and its subsidiaries and affiliates, is an Equal Opportunity Employer – Minorities/Women/Disabled/Veterans.
