We’re looking for an experienced
Senior Land Development Department Manager to lead a Civil/Site Land Development team in Nashville. This is an opportunity to combine your technical expertise, leadership skills, and business mindset while helping shape the direction and growth of an established land development practice.
You’ll lead a talented team working across a diverse mix of projects, including major warehousing complexes, sports arenas, residential communities, and mixed-use developments.
What You’ll Be Doing:- Lead the day-to-day operations and long-term direction of the Civil/Site Land Development team
- Provide technical and management leadership while maintaining a high standard of project quality
- Establish department objectives, goals, and long-range plans
- Assign projects, manage workloads, and ensure the right resources are in place
- Monitor project profitability, productivity, and staff utilization
- Mentor, develop, and evaluate team members while supporting their career advancement
- Collaborate with other disciplines and provide technical expertise when needed
- Help develop and execute marketing and business development initiatives
- Hold teams accountable for project performance, quality, schedules, and results
What We’re Looking For:- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- 12+ years of relevant civil engineering/land development experience
- Professional licensure in your area of expertise
- Proven experience leading and developing large teams
- Strong strategic thinking and decision-making skills
- Ability to delegate effectively while maintaining accountability
- Collaborative leadership style with strong communication skills
- Solid understanding of project performance, utilization, and profitability
