Overview
A well-established land development consulting firm in southern New England is seeking a Senior Project Manager to support and help lead its land surveying practice. This role is ideal for a licensed surveyor who enjoys balancing technical execution, team leadership, and project oversight, with a clear path toward expanded leadership responsibility in the near term.

What You'll Do
- Partner with surveying leadership to develop and deliver survey plans, including boundary work, topographic mapping, easements, subdivision layouts, and related deliverables.
- Perform and review boundary calculations and survey computations.
- Coordinate and support field operations, including crew scheduling, preparation, and oversight.
- Process and manage data collected by field crews, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Develop topographic drawings and digital terrain models using survey data and surface modeling tools.
- Conduct land records research for project sites and adjacent properties.
- Step into a field leadership role as needed, including serving as a crew chief on occasion.
- Ensure all work aligns with internal standards, procedures, and quality expectations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 4+ years of experience in a supervisory or project leadership capacity preferred
- Active Professional Land Surveyor license (CT, MA, or RI preferred)
- Minimum of three years of hands-on experience using Civil 3D for surveying applications
- Strong working knowledge of field survey techniques, methods, and workflows
- Comfortable supporting field operations, including working outdoors in varying weather, navigating uneven terrain, and handling surveying equipment
