Our client is seeking a Senior AV Technician / Lead
Installer to support commercial audio/video projects across the Greater Hampton
Roads and Richmond areas.
This is a hands -on, field -based role where you’ll lead
installations ranging from single -room setups to fully integrated building
systems. You’ll own project outcomes while also mentoring junior technicians.

Key Responsibilities<\/span><\/b>- Lead
and complete commercial AV installations from start to finish<\/span>
<\/li><\/ul>- Install
and troubleshoot AV systems (displays, audio, control systems, cabling)<\/span>
<\/li><\/ul>- Oversee
job sites to ensure quality, safety, and timelines<\/span>
<\/li><\/ul>- Build
racks, manage structured cabling, and perform rough -ins<\/span>
<\/li><\/ul>- Communicate
with project teams, engineers, and clients<\/span>
<\/li><\/ul>- Train
and support junior technicians<\/span>
<\/li><\/ul>- Travel
locally to job sites as needed<\/span>
<\/li><\/ul>
<\/span>Qualifications<\/span><\/b>- 5+
years of commercial AV installation/troubleshooting experience<\/span>
<\/li><\/ul>- 3+
years leading installations or crews<\/span>
<\/li><\/ul>- Experience
with AV systems such as:<\/span>
<\/li><\/ul><\/div>- Flat
panels, projectors<\/span>
<\/li><\/ul>- 25/70V
audio systems<\/span>
<\/li><\/ul>- Control
systems (Crestron, Extron, etc.)<\/span>
<\/li><\/ul>- Video
distribution, DSP, and IP -based AV<\/span>
<\/li><\/ul><\/div><\/blockquote>- Familiarity
with structured cabling and construction environments<\/span>
<\/li><\/ul>- Basic
networking knowledge<\/span>
<\/li><\/ul>- AVIXA
CTS or similar certifications preferred<\/span>
<\/li><\/ul>Additional Requirements:<\/span><\/b>- Own
basic tools and reliable transportation<\/span>
<\/li><\/ul>- Valid
driver’s license<\/span>
<\/li><\/ul>- Able
to pass background check (DCJS eligible)<\/span>
<\/li><\/ul>- Comfortable
working on ladders and using power tools<\/span>
