Position Summary


We are seeking a highly skilled carpenter with exceptional problem-solving abilities to join a fast-paced modular building manufacturer. This role is ideal for a master craftsperson who thrives under tight production timelines, can diagnose and solve complex construction challenges, takes pride in delivering high-quality work that meets demanding quality standards, and can seamlessly manage self-directed projects while actively collaborating with a diverse team to deliver exceptional results. 



Key Responsibilities


  • Perform advanced framing, finish carpentry, installation, and assembly within a modular manufacturing environment.
  • Interpret blueprints, specifications, and engineering drawings.
  • Troubleshoot design, fit, finish, and production issues in real time. 
  • Proactively work through challenges as they arise, and know when to leverage individual critical thinking and when to consult leadership or loop in other team members. 
  • Take ownership of assigned projects and manage deadlines/daily workflows while collaborating with the warehouse, fabrication, electrical metal, engineering, and field installation teams.
  • Maintain productivity while meeting aggressive production schedules.
  • Ensure all work meets safety, quality, and code requirements.
  • Mentor junior carpenters and support continuous improvement efforts.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, professional and safe work environment.
  • Clearly articulate ideas, project updates, and roadblocks. 


Required Qualifications


  • 7+ years of professional carpentry experience.
  • Demonstrated expertise in framing, finish carpentry, layout, and installation.
  • Strong blueprint-reading and measurement skills.
  • Proven ability to solve complex construction and manufacturing challenges.
  • Ability to create and execute accurate project workflows. 
  • Experience working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Very high attention to detail and quality craftsmanship.
  • Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment.
  • A team-player with excellent communication skills. 
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to safely lift and carry 50lbs 
  • Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement


Preferred Qualifications


  • Modular, manufactured housing, commercial construction, millwork, cabinetmaking, or advanced woodworking experience.
  • Leadership or crew lead experience.
  • OSHA training or relevant certifications.
  • Proven ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision, demonstrating high levels of initiative, motivation, and time management. 
  • Forklift certification, or the ability to obtain it within 30 days. 
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a history of fostering positive, collaborative relationships with customers, vendors, team members and the company as a whole. 
  • Capacity to adapt and seamlessly transition between focused independent work and dynamic, interactive team projects.
