JOB DESCRIPTION
Everforth Apex Systems is searching for a skilled AI Infrastructure professional with excellent consultative abilities to assume the position of Senior Lead Consultant within our Cloud & Infrastructure practice. This individual will serve in a strategic role at Apex, collaborating with internal and client project teams to offer direction in designing, implementing, and supporting our AI Infrastructure capability and service offerings. The consultant will also provide technical support for Everforth Apex sales, solution management, and account teams during the scoping of new Cloud & Infrastructure based opportunities. As a consulting position, the work location for this role varies according to client needs. Accordingly, this is not a remote position. While some assignments may be performed largely remotely, other assignments require fully on-site work, hybrid work, and/or occasional travel

- Collaborate internally with Everforth Apex Account Teams, Solution Leaders, Industry Leaders, Practice Leaders, and others to develop Apex Solutions Delivery Services business.
- Demonstrate adaptability and flexibility to acquire skills to meet business needs.
- Build strong client, industry, and internal relationships and represent Apex Systems as a leader within Industry and Professional events and communities. Develop and maintain strong internal and external customer relationships.
- Lead team members and direct reports to Lead the development, growth, and success of your team, developing professionals for the next stage of their careers.
- This role may be responsible for managing hybrid project teams consisting of Everforth Apex Contract Employees, Internal Everforth Apex employees, client employees and external vendors.
- Stay current on relevant technology trends and practices.
- Continually innovate, seek creative solutions, and find new ways of adding value.
- Lead the end-to-end architecture and technical strategy for a large-scale on-prem AI/LLM platform.
- Design and govern multi-cluster AI infrastructure across production, shared services, and disaster recovery environments.
- Own GPU infrastructure architecture, capacity planning, performance optimization, and scalability strategy.
- Architect enterprise Kubernetes/OpenShift platforms including automation, security, multi-tenancy, and operational governance.
- Define and implement AI model serving platforms leveraging technologies such as vLLM, NVIDIA NIM, Triton, and related inference frameworks.
- Establish standards for model deployment, lifecycle management, versioning, promotion, rollback, and operational readiness.
- Lead architecture and implementation of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions, vector databases, and enterprise data integrations.
- Design security, compliance, identity, RBAC, tenant isolation, audit logging, and data protection controls for AI platform operations.
- Own high availability, disaster recovery, replication, backup, failover, and resiliency strategies across multiple datacenters.
- Serve as the senior technical advisor to client and executive leadership, driving architecture decisions and platform roadmaps.
- Mentor engineering teams, establish technical standards, and provide oversight across infrastructure, platform, security, and AI engineering workstreams.
- Translate business objectives into scalable, secure, and cost-efficient AI platform solutions while ensuring operational excellence.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- 10+ years of infrastructure, cloud, platform engineering, or architecture experience.
- 3+ years designing large-scale Kubernetes or OpenShift platforms.
- 3+ years designing enterprise AI, ML, GenAI, or LLM infrastructure solutions.
- Experience leading enterprise platform transformations exceeding $5M in delivery value.
- Proven experience serving as lead architect on highly visible client engagements.
- Experience designing on-prem AI factories or GPU clusters preferred.
- OpenShift certification preferred.
- Kubernetes certifications (CKA, CKAD, CKS) preferred.
- NVIDIA certifications preferred.
- Experience working with HPE, Dell, Lenovo, Cisco, or enterprise datacenter infrastructure preferred.
- Experience supporting regulated or highly secure enterprise environments preferred.
- Familiarity with AI governance frameworks and operational AI platform management preferred.
