Title: Senior Cost Engineer/Lead Cost Engineer
Location: Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
Type: Full Time | On site with some flexibility
Overview:
Seeking a Senior Cost Engineer or Lead to support a large scale, multi-billion-dollar natural gas power generation project in the United States. This role will lead cost estimating, forecasting, and cost control across engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead development and management of the project cost baseline and forecasts
- Prepare and validate detailed cost estimates and budgets
- Deliver monthly cost reports, forecasts, and variance analysis to senior leadership
- Evaluate cost impacts related to scope changes and contractor change orders
- Integrate cost data with project schedules and cash flow models
- Partner with engineering, procurement, construction, and contracts teams
- Mentor junior cost engineering staff
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, finance, or related field
- 5+ years of cost engineering or cost control experience on large infrastructure, power, or industrial projects
- Experience supporting projects valued at $1B+ preferred
- Strong Excel and cost management system experience
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
Preferred Experience:
- Natural gas power generation or utility scale energy projects
- EPC or EPCM project environments
