In a typical day, you will:
- Manage and analyze bid documents, showcasing your ability to interpret complex civil construction plans.
- Spearhead quantity assessments and develop complete project scopes.
- Collaborate effectively to meet subcontractor needs and align with DBE goals while identifying any potential constructability issues.
- Drive innovation through value engineering endeavors and pre-bid coordination with project owners.
- Construct comprehensive bid packages and project schedules and confidently present your proposals to leadership.
- Offer guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
- Be prepared for some local travel, with occasional weekend commitments.

Your qualifications:
- A seasoned background of 7–10+ years in the civil construction estimation domain.
- Extensive experience with DOT-related projects, particularly with VDOT or NCDOT.
- Proven track record in managing highway, earthwork, bridge, or utility projects.
- Ability to independently bid on projects valued between $5 million and $60 million.
- Proficiency in HeavyBid or similar estimating platforms.
- A degree in construction management or a related field is advantageous.
