The Role

You will serve as a senior individual contributor responsible for shaping pricing and monetization strategy across cloud-based, AI-enabled, and digital product portfolios. Operating at a consulting level, this role applies broad technical and business expertise to develop scalable monetization frameworks, guide complex pricing decisions, and influence cross-functional strategy. You will lead advanced analytics, financial modeling, and strategic recommendations that inform executive decision-making and support value-driven growth.

The Main Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of complex pricing strategies for cloud, AI, and platform-based products, including consumption, subscription, tiered, token-based, and hybrid models.
  • Design and evolve monetization frameworks that align pricing architecture to usage, value realization, customer outcomes, and long-term business strategy.
  • Identify, evaluate, and guide new revenue opportunities tied to AI-enabled capabilities, data services, APIs, cloud ecosystems, and partner-driven models.
  • Serve as a recognized subject-matter expert in cloud and AI monetization, advising stakeholders on best practices, tradeoffs, risks, and scalable commercialization approaches.
  • Build, own, and refine complex pricing and business models for consumption-based, subscription, platform, and outcome-based offerings.
  • Evaluate unit economics, including customer acquisition cost, lifetime value, margin profile, usage behavior, and scalability of cloud-native and AI-enabled offerings.
  • Apply advanced analytics, market benchmarks, and scenario modeling to guide pricing decisions, investment tradeoffs, and future product monetization opportunities.
  • Partner with product, engineering, finance, sales, marketing, and go-to-market leaders to align pricing strategy with product architecture, customer value, and delivery models.
  • Translate complex technical capabilities, including AI models, APIs, cloud infrastructure, data services, and marketplace integrations, into commercially viable monetization constructs.
  • Influence roadmap decisions, investment priorities, and governance discussions through data-driven insights, market intelligence, and executive-ready recommendations.
  • Deliver executive-ready insights, business cases, and strategic recommendations that clearly connect pricing decisions to financial impact, customer value, and growth objectives.
  • Present monetization strategies, financial scenarios, and decision points for cloud and AI offerings to senior leadership and governance forums.
  • Clearly articulate pricing tradeoffs, risks, assumptions, and recommendations to support alignment across technical, financial, and commercial stakeholders.

What We Look For in a Candidate

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Business, or a related field, or equivalent education and experience; advanced degree preferred.
  • 6+ years of related experience in pricing, monetization strategy, financial analysis, product analytics, cloud economics, or commercial strategy
  • Significant experience developing pricing or monetization strategies for cloud platforms, SaaS models, AI-enabled products, APIs, or digital ecosystems.
  • Deep understanding of consumption-based pricing, usage metering, API monetization, value-based pricing, and customer segmentation.
  • Advanced proficiency with financial modeling, SQL, Python, BI tools, and analytics methods used to evaluate pricing performance, unit economics, and market opportunities.
  • Strong executive communication, storytelling, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence decisions across senior technical, financial, and commercial audiences.
  • Ability to quickly ramp into senior leadership-level pricing initiatives, understand strategic priorities, and contribute immediately to high-impact workstreams with limited onboarding.

Preferred

  • Experience with cloud ecosystems, including hyperscalers, marketplaces, ISVs, platform integrations, and partner-led commercialization models.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML concepts, data monetization strategies, cloud infrastructure economics, and emerging digital business models.
