Responsibilities:

POSITION SUMMARY & RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

The Senior Lease Analyst is responsible for the analysis of leases, contracts, title opinions and other legal documentation to determine company ownership and obligations in leases, contracts, and wells.  The individual independently maintains and updates a group of assigned records and can assist the team in resolving complex issues.

 

Special focus will be placed on:

  • Reading and interpreting contracts, including conveyance, lease and other oil and gas contractual documents
  • Creating cross-references from wells to leases and other contracts
  • Capturing pertinent data in records system
  • Interacting with landowners and internal stake holders
  • Resolving routine and complex ownership issues
  • Prepare, analyze, and interpret computer generated reports
  • Mentoring less experienced team members
  • Project management
Qualifications:

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business related field or equivalent combination or education and experience
  • Strong understanding of the oil and gas industry, extensive understanding of Lease Records
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal guidance
  • Enjoys research-intense assignments
  • Strong written and oral communications
  • Patient demeanor when interacting with landowners
  • Proficient in Excel and Word
  • Flexibility to work hours needed to meet deadlines
  • Experience with Enertia and/or P2 software preferred, not required

Office Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: 

  • Prolonged periods working at a desk in front of a computer. 

 

Additional Requirements:  

  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time. 

 

The base pay range for this position is $70,000 - $90,000/yr. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors, including but not limited to a candidate’s qualifications, location, experience, and alignment with the job requirements. The range listed is just one component of Diversified Energy’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses and short- and long-term incentives.
